it's raining
it's pouring
the old man is snoring...
what's with all this rain... enough already!... we're supposed to have summer and sun and stuff but this is the coldest, wettest summer i've ever had to live through... and what scares me most is the fact that i'm actually enjoying all this rain... i think i should go buy myself a pair of those flipper stiletto's...
i see brian's circus is back in town... they come every year... and every day i drive past them and think... i really should take the kids to the circus... and then i never do... the circus people have two huge elephants, i've affectionately given them names, hubba and bubba... these two giants walks around with no supervision or anything to keep them close... they just roam around the area and that's that... so every afternoon as i drive home i see two elephants... only in africa right... gotta love that!
11 COMMENTS....bite me!:
I hate it two trees fell down around my house now even if we did get sun I have nowehere to braai
There was a breakthrough today. I saw the sun for 2 seconds while driving to work. Nearly crashed my car.
i saw the ellies this morning too! its amazing to see those two huge animals in the open veld surrounded by shopping centres, townhouses and offices!!!
the circus is a jol, but i get such hayfever and asthma when i'm in that tent that i can't stay in there!
Bloody cruel morons! Those elephants should be somewhere north keeping an eye on the Marula fruit and a wary one for the African bees that are currently on their most active cycle. Not roaming about for the amusement of idle children and being money-making skivvies for circus jokers!
Sorry, RSA - I hate animals in captivity. Hate it! I went to the zoo the other day with S4 and The Pickle. My poor daughter had to put up with me ranting and raving, eventually I left and let them enjoy themselves in peace.
lee: hectic...
glug: amazing... you should have taken a pic and framed it
angel: what's keeping me away this year is all that mud...argh
bridget: i agree, but as my membership for "free the elephants" has not been approved yet i can't rescue them and take them to someplace safe... i agree i agree i agree... you make me feel bad...
loook, its Nelly the Elephant she packed her trunk and said good bye to the ciiiiiiircus, off she went with her trumpety trunk, trump trump trump.
Errrr....
Nevermind.
Oh my god they are terrible. They are hideous. And I worship shoes.
Seriously, please burn down the shop that is selling those.
For the love of the Shoe God!
I think the shoes are quite tit! Here is New Jersey - we regularly get lots of deers in the garden - and they are groot - there are constantly squirrels and chipmunks darting around the garden - we hve skunks and a groundhog who lives under my deck ... bunnies and in the woods right next to our house - this real scraggly fox ... I don't think I EVER saw that much wildlife in the back garden in Africa ... but two elephants virtually on the side of the road on the way to work - now THAT'S impressive, china!
oh shit i had to do a double take!!!
In that last picture I thought that was me on the right!
sheena: don't lemme stop you...
divine: aren't they just gorgeous... i bought 3 pairs
dawn: tit eh? LOL... its lank cool doll i tuning you
sage: i think we need to have a talk ;)
So if one leans forward enough could those shoes make it through mud relatively unscathed?
Perhaps if one ever needed a quick escape those shoes could be use to fling grass-clippings or something into the air (“smoke screen”) while escaping to the middle of a nearby mud-puddle.
They are safety shoes really.
