only in africa...

it's raining

it's pouring

the old man is snoring...

what's with all this rain... enough already!... we're supposed to have summer and sun and stuff but this is the coldest, wettest summer i've ever had to live through... and what scares me most is the fact that i'm actually enjoying all this rain... i think i should go buy myself a pair of those flipper stiletto's...

i see brian's circus is back in town... they come every year... and every day i drive past them and think... i really should take the kids to the circus... and then i never do... the circus people have two huge elephants, i've affectionately given them names, hubba and bubba... these two giants walks around with no supervision or anything to keep them close... they just roam around the area and that's that... so every afternoon as i drive home i see two elephants... only in africa right... gotta love that!

Bloody cruel morons! Those elephants should be somewhere north keeping an eye on the Marula fruit and a wary one for the African bees that are currently on their most active cycle. Not roaming about for the amusement of idle children and being money-making skivvies for circus jokers!

Sorry, RSA - I hate animals in captivity. Hate it! I went to the zoo the other day with S4 and The Pickle. My poor daughter had to put up with me ranting and raving, eventually I left and let them enjoy themselves in peace.

Oh my god they are terrible. They are hideous. And I worship shoes.

Seriously, please burn down the shop that is selling those.

For the love of the Shoe God!

I think the shoes are quite tit! Here is New Jersey - we regularly get lots of deers in the garden - and they are groot - there are constantly squirrels and chipmunks darting around the garden - we hve skunks and a groundhog who lives under my deck ... bunnies and in the woods right next to our house - this real scraggly fox ... I don't think I EVER saw that much wildlife in the back garden in Africa ... but two elephants virtually on the side of the road on the way to work - now THAT'S impressive, china!

So if one leans forward enough could those shoes make it through mud relatively unscathed?

Perhaps if one ever needed a quick escape those shoes could be use to fling grass-clippings or something into the air (“smoke screen”) while escaping to the middle of a nearby mud-puddle.

They are safety shoes really.
