mad mother

ok before i get into my post let me just clarify something...
i'm not depressed
or unhappy...
or sad
i think you guys are getting that impression and i'm just great really.... i write stuff and then i post it only later so if i was creating that impression... sorry not intended :) and thanks for your concern...

whoop whoop!!! it's Monday... shit... how did this happen??? it was a lovely long week/weekend off... didn't do anything worth while except watch countless dvd's (has anybody seen "georgia rule"... i canned myself!) anyway... and slept and read.... i really should get a life shouldn't i?! everything was just peachy up until yesterday afternoon 4 o'clock... batman brought the boys back after the weekend... and argh... things just sort of unraveled from there....

jay says... mommy i have to do a speech this week at school... *still breezy and loving them back home* i say oki doki sweetheart... i'll go write it quicks ok? so i wrote the speech and call him to learn the thing...

he's in tears... he can't get the bloody psp game right... oh my word... really....

ok sweet cake forget about the game and let's do this forking speech ok???

*getting slightly irritated* argggggggggghhhhhhhhhhh he screams throwing a cushion across the room.... no shit....

ok so i try to get the words into his head, usually takes about 10 minutes but he's crying so much because of the game, it took us an hour!!! ...i sort of get impatient... then he cries even more!!!! arhghhhhhhhhhhh...

*not loving them so much at this point*

then....

i got an sms (text) from kay's friend's mom to ask me how far are we with the backdrop of the soccer stadium for the puppet show due Tuesday... wtf???

hmmm... kay what is she talking about???

*no reply*

kay????????

*ignoring me*

i get up and walk to the tv room... falling over all their weekend luggage still dumped in the dining room....

kay would you please stop ignoring me and tell me what this is about??

*counting to 10...*

no idea mom....forget about it

*six...seven...* kay WHAT IS SHE TALKING ABOUT?????? she can't be having delusional dreams five o clock on a Sunday afternoon or is she???

*huge sigh and eye rolling going on* we're supposed to build this thing for school, BUT I TOLD THE GUYS I'M NOT DOING IT!!!

fuck... i swear...

he just decided he's not going to do it...

so after yelling my head off we jump into my car and drive off to my sister aka walking art shop...luckily she had everything we needed, packing peanuts for the snow ( i know packing peanuts?? snow??? for soccer??? but at that point i just decided to keep my mouth shut and take whatever he thought we'll need)... paint.... Styrofoam soccer ball... pipe cleaners... little coloured wooden sticks...

sheesh i nearly killed my son yesterday... i really did...

kay's turning into his fucking father.... and i won't have any of it... i have no fucking clue how i'm going to get "the world owes me..." attitude out of his head but he's decided in his infinite wisdom that instead of asking for help.... if something is too difficult, even if it just looks a tad difficult, he shrugs his shoulders and looks the other away... he makes as if there is no problem, like it's going to go away if he ignores it long enough....!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

please tell me all 12 year old boys are like this????

lie~ if you have to....

I said it again. I'm not sure why it's comforting, seeing it means you're in for at least another 9 years of it, but whatever floats your boat :)

Shit, I would just let the kid get into trouble for not doing what he's supposed to be doing. Maybe it'll teach him a lesson.

i cant comment on 12yo's but my 5yo last night pitched a fit because his game of super smash brothers on the WII went badly.

and THAT was the end of the wii for the night... i unplugged that fucker right from the tv.

im as much of a gaming nerd as the next geek, but when you are that into something thats supposed to RELIEVE stress.. then its time to shut it off..
