never say never...

i was convinced i worked for a pretty decent boss... but after giving her my resignation yesterday she IMMEDIATELY told me that my 14 working days leave that i still have, she doesn't have the money to pay me for them...so before 1 November i will be on leave a lot... cause I'm sure as shit not taking that... do you feel sorry for her? don't... cause she actually does have money to pay me... but she just doesn't want to... she's stingy that way...behind my back she enquired from my colleague if in fact the one calender month notice i gave her was stated in my contract...

so here's a few things I've learnt...

• if you want loyalty, buy a dog


• nobody is ever indispensable


• never think twice taking a better job, no love lost at all...

so there... it's a done deal... I've been told to take leave next week, knocking off the first 5 days off the 14 days... leaving me with another 9 days... *giggle*

so I'll probably won't be blogging next week... my kids are on holiday so I'll be spending my time watching movies and eating popcorn...

five more days before my holiday...oh my word i feel like a kid just thinking about it!!!

i've got one hell of a week ahead of me, but it's all worth it...

just thought i would tell you that i had lunch with the infamous glug yesterday...oh yes i did... i've thought about it, and anything i say will be construed in some or other way... so let me be a lady for once and just this:

you rock glug, i really had a great time!

he even paid for the lunch...and of course i forgot to thank him, how utterly rude i know... stuff like that can really haunt me...so for the 10th time glug, thanks for lunch!

hello world!

i'm back! and i feel brand new...strange what a week's holiday can do to a person...ah it was bliss...i spent every cent i saved on the kids...and they spent it all without thinking twice...that's how it should be! it was really great, i took the kids bikes with and they had a blast...i had to watch them doing some drift maneuver like a million and two times...and i enthusiastically screamed from the sideline every time...sometimes more in fear that their front teeth will be knocked out... jay took over the game driving...he sat on my lap and did all of the steering and i did the peddles... which he really enjoyed...on the second day i asked kay to come with on the game drive and his reply..."didn't we see all the animals yesterday?"...needless to say he opted to go swimming instead...my mom taught me that i should build memories with my kids...which is excellent advice don't you think...and memories we built...i played more putt-putt (mini golf) than i ever will play again combined for the rest of my life!...my two sons really surprised me with their snooker ability...i mean they are 8 and 12 and the tricks they know...quite astounding...they even have a backwards~behind~the~back~trick that they pull off~ quite remarkable...considering that jay is about a head higher than the snooker table...he knocked in four balls one after the other...like i say i was stunned...and pleasantly surprised...we swam until we looked like prunes...and fed the squirrels until they could eat no more...otherwise we had our first summer-rain, it rained the whole night...i slept like a babe...i even painted my toe nails yesterday in honour of summer...and the best news of all...the ex paid his maintenance...oh yeah!!!!!!! good times man...phew...anyway folks i am babbling much about nothing today...great to be back...hope you missed me?? i'm so vain...

next week...

tomorrow will be my last day at work for a whole ass-slapping week...

yeaaaaaaaaaahaaaaaaa...i will be lounging about with very little clothing on...next to a swimming pool...catching some shut-eye and drinking too many g&t's....while keeping an eye out for one of these beasties...living in south africa does have it's obvious advantages sometimes...ha...bliss...can't wait...will have to get myself a tan...i am scaring myself at the moment...the kid's have a school break so we will be heading for the bush for some peace and quiet...can't wait can't wait...la~di~da~di~da...my obvious good mood is due to the fact that kay is back from a 3 day school-camp...i missed him so much...but he's back...just spoke to him on the phone...darling boy...anyway not much to say today...will chat again tomorrow...
