facebook

i caved... yes i did... i joined facebook... but the hopeless optimist that i am, i actually thought facebook would be easy... either it is easy and i'm just clueless or i'm just not getting it... i sent out invitations that i didn't even know i did... and even got some friend replies... that was nice... am i in high school again? it does feel a tad like that... so thank God i have some friends.... wmhahahahaha anyway i hope i get with the program soon, cause i think facebook is supposed to be fun right? which it isn't for me at this moment... and what is it with you people who use your blog names on facebook?? unfair... i object! isn't it supposed to be a real life~coming out of the closet with your normal identity kind of thing?... i came clean you buggers... now i feel like being caught with my knickers around my ankles and i'm the only one...

i went to the bloggerati party with glugs and angel on saturday night... i do not know what i expected but *sigh* wasn't all that good hey... oh i know... MAYBE IT WOULD HAVE HELPED IF SOME OF THE BLOGGERS I KNEW WENT!!!... there was the strangest dude parking with us for a bit... i did not meet one blogger that i knew... blog parties can be very cliquey ... tsk tsk...

my boss is off to cape town for four days...whoohoo good times, it'll give me time to figure out facebook ...

Er... I think I have a facebook account but I have no idea how to work my way around the darn thing... so me suspects that it's not as easy as "they'd" like us to think! FAcebooks made me feel dumb!

Bloggerati party hey.... If I knew about it, I would've came but I live in the Bundus and no1 tells me things like these.... Hummm!

I must agree. The bloggerati party was a bit of a dissapointment. Ah well. At least we got out of the house for a bit!

Yay!!! I can like to believe you joined Facebook after I invited you. :)

Has been ages since I went to a blog party

Bloggerati was apparently POSERVILLE filled with master posers. You wouldn't have fitted in there at all hun! :-)

I've actually been contemplating shutting down my FB account. I have some family who have started to add me. And since I haven't accepted their adds they are now harrassing me.

wenchy: ok now invite me to be your friend, i have no forking clue how to... hehe

bridget: poserville hehe yip i fall into many categories but not that one ;) i must admit i feel a bit exposed on FB, i am terrified that someone i know is going to find me ;)

Regarding your reply to Bridget - isn't the point of Facebook for people to find you?

I didn't get invited
sigh
I am the man without and face!

nat: i would love to... if i can just figure out how... mwhahahahaha

angel: thanks hun thats perfect, hope i don't bugger it up ;)

kyk: always the practical one... yes and no... last time i checked i could choose my friends... but yes the point of fb is for people to find each other... but that's the thing~ i don't want a random person from my past to find me... so maybe fb is not for me after all

sage: i make a point of not inviting strange men without faces :)

Facebook is a waste of time and quite juvenile I think, it is handy to find people you've lost touch with but people who join groups, play with the applications etc, are wasting their time in my opinion. Definitely juvenile.

As for the blog meeting you went to, lol it reminds me of back in the day when mIRC channels would have meets, it's kinda lame because people will stick to the bloggers they message alot and already know, so why not just make your own outing and invite the specific bloggers you want.

Anyways, good luck with Facebook, the novelty wears off quite fast, just find the actual people you want to talk to and get their email addresses.

I beg to differ Bro ken.

Facebook might be a waste of time for people who have nothing better to do.

But it's a social networking tool that has revolutionarised a lot of things such as online advertising, consumption of media etc.

Also found in Facebook are some groups which contribute enormously to interactive exchange between like minded people, engendering a culture of debate among the youth which has seen a decline in the past. In as much the same way as blogging does. It also serves to politicize this very same youth who have been on the fringes of political awareness and under the impression that politics were for nerds or freedom fighters or whatever.

It is more than finding out what "shoe/drunk/slut/karma sutra position" you are. If used by by people with brains.

Facebook offered market place, many news mediums are channeling traffic back to their sites by offering FB links and FB headlines apps. Anyway .. yah.

Mhh.
