boogie woogie!!!

i love dancing... i know i'm not particularly good...ok maybe i just plain suck at it...but hey...that little detail ain't stopping ms. ruby...that's my jive persona...ruby...love that name!!... i had a dance party in my living room the other night with my two boys... no mercy!!...my neighbours probably wanted to call the cops but i don't think police in the new south africa even bothers with calls like that anymore...imagine i was boogieing away and a cop knocked at the door...i would have thought he was a stripper and would have promptly dragged him inside...screaming "cuff me baby! cuff me n~o~w~~~..."
the poor kids couldn't keep up... their smiles said it all...they loved every minute...and that's the point isn't it...it doesn't matter how crap you are at some stuff...if you love it ~ don't stop...who cares what other's think of you anyway...
i reminded myself of travolta in saturday night fever...yeah baby...disco lights... it was so much fun! ... it took the kids a while to get into the groove but man it was a blast... i think dancing is like karaoke, some people just can't sing...they suck b~i~g time but they enjoy it so much...you just gotta love that blind confidence some have...rock on dudes...life's too short don't u think...!!

Wish I could relax enough to dance, even at home.

And yep, life is far too short.

rabbit: you should let your hair down and shake your arse to the rhythm babe...nothing quite like it!

glug: ok i think we should discuss this party idea, who's game? so far it's me (of course), angel (of course), louisa, lee (you in?) and you will have to bring will along, he sounds like loads of fun, and you glug, who else is game??

More importantly is when. I need to know how often I need to hit the gym before d-day!

your PT will have to whip you into shape before the end of december... ag no glug...i'm sure we'll love you just the way you are!!

We do this quite regularly at home... put music on and dance like maniacs around the lounge. It's very liberating! Also, you get to practive your best moves so when you go out you can show off a bit ;-)

We do it too. My housemate do it before going out, always put on The Killers - Mr. Brightside and dance around the house like crazy people. I love it. Best thing ever and it always puts a smile on our faces :)

Random dancing around the house is the absolute best – indeed Miss M, The Killers are super for this… but I also enjoy a little Creedence Clearwater Revival once in a while. I try not to get too carried away though because I’m in a flat and people live under me. Glad to hear your boys got into it – I think it’s the duty of a great mom to train more boys to get onto the dancefloor :)

Msmozi i agree totally...get those boys on the dance floor otherwise they will turn out like me...METALHEAD...thats not bad,but dance chicks are so much hotter than Metal ones :)

I will be in for that party...TIME and PLACE pls..(Who can say no to that)

Hehehe...looks like this blog party is on? Whooohooo! Best you make the date and location known as soon as possible - you know how fast December fills up.

As for the dancing...I think that;s awesome! And you can tell when someone loves what they're doing whether it be dancing or working or anything, and that's always great to see. I think it's great that you can share this with your kids. :-)

I belly dance. Sometimes I throw on music and dance around for hours cleaning the house all by my lonesome. It's a great feeling!
